The British Homemaker - One day at a time

Remember the last post when I said I have so much going on that I won’t have time to blog? Well I have decided to hold myself accountable and blog my daily to-do list over on The British Homemakers Diary . Today is day 2 and so far I’m doing pretty ok, but lets see what happens in a week or two! Lol While all is good and well here, the kids are busy doing their to-do list to ensure that when Jay, Tara, Bailey and Scott arrive they are organised and ready for the best Christmas ever. Me, I am determined that this year, while busy now, come Christmas Eve it will be the first day to relax and enjoy all the wonderful blessings that I have. My philosophy this year is ‘’preparation & organisation’’. So far, though I have a little more on my plate than I’d like, I am happy to actually have so much stuff going on. I am meeting more wonderful people, doing some things for the first time and having a ball with it all. I love that my friends know my talents and want to include me in ...

I have received a few emails to see that I am ok after not posting for a while now….thank you! I am just great, thank you. However, just now there is so much going on with Charley’s school (he volunteered me to do a lot there, but I don’t mind i am actually loving the whole shabang of their Christmas activities). I have a big Christmas party in the process of coming together for our church, I have a team of 4 people on my committee but that just means we take on more awesome tasks to bring to the people of our branch! Then there’s my decorating, my Christmas shopping, cooking and planning. I’m doing changing rooms again because my boys, daughter in law and granddaughter are all coming home for Christmas then there’s my work…that is taking me places I could only dream of and I’m so very thankful, grateful and humbled by all that I have been blessed with lately. Sadly that doesn’t leave me with much time for the online stuff (other than facebook , which at the moment is my sanity!). ...

End of the school week and the start of half term break. It seems no soon as they go back they’re off again! In my kids case, Charley has been off the last two weeks with a virus that developed into an infection that at one point was feared to be meningitis, luckily it wasn’t though but the whole illness knocked him off his feet for a total of 13 days. Kirsten picked up the same virus and she spent almost  a week in bed, barring some up time where she’d hop on Facebook or take the dog for a walk. I had ear ache for 2 days which pretty much paralysed me so it was only the dog that seemed ok. But then, he was at the vets last week. So, school holiday. What to do? We haven’t planned anything. It kinda just crept up on me. So I’m thinking it’s time to get out and about a bit. Walking. Lots of it. Oh and some webcam’ing with my lil granddaughter. Checking in on Facebook I see that Tara has uploaded some pictures of my gorgeous baby granddaughter and my rather worrying son! If I didn’t know better I’d say Bailey-Boo was  doll…isn’t she just totally gorgeous? :) Debs
