A quiet return: Where I've been, what I'm doing, and what is coming up

Last July, I took the plunge and set up a simple blog to share the short stories that I'd written over the years. It wasn't until I was having a clear-out on my pc that I came across them. I have tended to write them, stick them in the folder and then forget them. So, over time, there has been quite a lot built up. Through July and August, I shared summer and generic themed stories, but with September already upon us, I have themed back-to-school and autumn stories to keep in line with the moment. As you may see a pattern setting here, I will also be adding Halloween, winter and Christmas stories through the rest of the seasons too. All the short stories I share on A Writer's Journey are free to read. They are also included in compilation books that are currently being added to Kindle Unlimited and Amazon. Losing weight

A couple of years ago I had to go on medication for a stomach complaint, the side effects were migraines and weight gain, well they are the ones that affected me. After the course finished and my issue settled I was left with extra, unwanted poundage. Being the other side of 40 means unless I become a workout freak I have to work extra hard to lose it again. But I’m a lazy a$$ when it comes to working out, yeah I’ve given a few workouts a go, the best one being Jillian Michaels . However, now add in a knee injury that isn’t healing and you have a physical oxymoron!! See the beagle cheeks going on there?   I’ve never really had a weight problem, I’ve been lucky in that way, though saying that, it took my marriage breaking down to loose the weight a year after having Charley! I do not recommend the divorce diet! Losing 2 and a half stone in 6 weeks is not the way to go, but darn I looked good!!   Being 5’2” doesn’t do me many favours, having a small frame but bein...
