Belated happy new year!

Late is my middle name but better late than never, right? ;)

I trust you've had a great start to 2014?

Here, we've been doing a few adjustments to our personal lives and getting clear on how we want this year to happen. This time last year I just had a dodgy knee, now I'm safe to say I've come to terms with osteo and rheumatoid arthritis and adapted to life as much as I can for now. My younger two kids are great supports when I need them, I have great friends and a great family so it'd be selfish of me to not work in something else that's been a huge part of my life that I've let slip; my faith.

This year, health permitting I am regaining what I know I have inside, faith, hope, compassion, a future.

While my business is in the midst of expanding at the moment I am finding that the input from my kids is adding value to the part it plays in our lives, we are all excited for what's coming to Design my Party Uk in the next few months!

On a personal level, I am feeling so full of gratitude inside I'm almost exploding. Somehow my values are shifting and being realigned, highlighted and more apparent but that's begs the question, how did I go so far off track? Well I hold arthritis accountable for that, it knocked me sideways in so many ways I didn't realise how bad it'd got till I found myself in the midst of a challenge and I dealt with it compassionately, calmly and quietly before taking it to prayer. I've missed this side of my life!

So January is a time for seeing the real things, things that matter, will make a difference and are blessings.

I love my lil dude so much my heart could explode!

My teen is my rock, best friend and the funniest person I know, no one gets us the way we do!

January is also time for some fun, much laughing and loadsa socialising.... Well that's when my 9 yr old dude has got over tonsillitis, but it will return :)

Happy January! What is the month looking like for you so far?
